Brussels, Belgium
6th June 2019

EuRobotics and BDVA event Joining Forces to Boost AI Adoption in Europe

As a response to the Commission Communication on AI published in December 2018 and as committed in the joint Vision Paper in March 2019, we (BDVA and euRobotics) publish today the Consultation Version of their joint Strategic Research, Innovation and Deployment Agenda (SRIDA) strategy: A focal point for collaboration on Artificial Intelligence, Data and Robotics.

The Consultation Release SRIDA is to bring together the stakeholders from the European AI Innovation Ecosystem to achieve a consensus on the way forward in advancing AI in Europe developing strong foundations for a European Public-Private Partnership on AI.

Together with David Bisset from euRobotics, I presented the making-of as well as the central content of the consultation Release of the SRIDA. Our presentation followed the introductory speech of Thomas Hahn (BDVA President) and Bernd Liebert (euRobotics President) and a Key Note by Roberto Viola (Director General, DG CNECT, European Commission).

After our presentation we had a very engaged panel with Juha Heikkilä (HoU A1, DG CNECT, EC), Henk-Jan Vink (TNO, Managing Director Unit ICT),  Hubert Tardieu (ATOS, Advisor to the CEO), Rolf Rossaint (University Hospital Aachen, Director Anaesthesiology), Federico Milani (Deputy HoU G1, DG CNECT, EC),  Gabriella Cattaneo (Associate Vice President IDC)

More than 100 people joined our event and celebrated with the publication of the first SRIDA version. Many people indicated their interest to collaborate with us. I am looking very much forward in doing the next steps.
